Y2: The LINKS All Stars Cricket Festival 2020

27th Feb 2020

Today we have had the best morning!

We went on the tram to Ponds Forge and were met at the entrance by the 'All Stars' mascot, Twinkle!

We were put into three teams and played a few fun games linked to throwing, catching, striking and general motivation - it was a busy morning and flew by!

Whilst we were taking part in the activities, the team from LINKS looked for any children demonstrating the school games values:

  • teamwork
  • honesty
  • respect
  • self belief
  • passion
  • determination

At the end of the festival the organisers held a special awards ceremony and we received a special certificate for producing an outstanding performance during Hallam Hoshi's All Stars Festival!

Three members of our Y2 class also received special mentions and were each given their own 'All Stars' cricket bat and ball!

Thank you to Mrs Broadhead, Mr Johnson and all the wonderful volunteers who joined us to help to make this fantastic trip possible!

Everyone had a great time!
