BSBHW 2019: Y3 Building Safety & Water Safety

5th Nov 2019

Today we learned about how to stay safe around building sites and how water is made safe for us to drink.

We had the pleasure of listening to Mr Paige (a former parent of our school) who kindly offered to support our special week by coming in to tell us about how building sites work and what people who work on them can do to protect themselves!

He explained to us why important that we never play on building sites and went through the different ways we can be safe when we are near them.

We also welcomed Ann from Yorkshire Water.

She reminded us how we need to treasure and not waste our water because it is such an important resource.

We also learned about how water is made safe for us to drink and carried out an exciting experiment filtering our own water.

Our thanks go to both our visitors and their companies for supporting our special week,
