ATTENTION FS2/Y1 PARENTS/CARERS!

23rd Jan 2020

Dear FS2/Y1 Parents and carers,

We recognise that as parents you are your child’s first teacher but you may not realise the positive impact that this has on your child. Simple things such as listening, praise, counting and reading with your child maximises their capacity to learn.

It also helps your child to recognise and regulate their feelings, which is important for their emotional well-being.

By trying out the activities in the first half of each Families Connect session, together as a group (without your child), you will be able to recognise the “science” behind these activities and why it is so important for you to engage with your child’s learning.

During the second half of each session you will be spending quality time with your child in school.

This is an opportunity to learn new techniques to support your child’s learning at home.

This free eight week course will give you the skills to be more confident when supporting your child’s learning at home.

Come and have a coffee with us and find out more!
