Y1: Investigating Autumn and Our Environment!

6th Nov 2021

We have been thinking about the different signs of autumn.

We thought about the weather; the change in daylight hours; our trees and leaf changes; the behaviour of animals; and of course our Autumn celebrations!

We explored our school grounds and examined an area, drawing - carefully - what we saw.

We also gave careful thought to what we could hear and smell.

Later in the year we will revisit the same area and repeat the activity so the children can think about the changes and make comparisons.

The children brought home an 'Autumn Hunt' sheet that you might enjoy completing with them over the next few weeks.

Happy hunting!
