Beat Your Best!

6th Oct 2019

Mr Johnson's update on this week's SJF Weekly Personal Challenge!

Thank you everyone who took part in this week’s ‘Beat Your Best’ challenge set up by Sports Major Archie, with help from other sport majors and leaders.

Working within a team of 5 the children were challenged to make a square shape with one person always in the middle of the square. The objective of the game is to see how quickly the pupils could pass and receive the ball within their group.

Starting from a corner of the square they first passed the ball to the person in the middle and then had to try and go around the square as quickly as possible, so that everyone was involved.

Everyone who took part did really well, and Archie did a great job too, and I think we have all improved our catching skills as a result of this week’s game.

Special mentions to the following:

  • Y1: Amelia and Florence
  • Y2: Katie and Luca
  • Y3: Connor and Lola
  • Y4: Freya
  • Y5: Sophie and Ethan
  • Y6: Phoebe and Sophie

Thank you all for joining in and make sure you look out for next week’s activity which Sports Major Sophie will be leading!
