Y1 Mathematics: Learning with Beebots!

We have been developing our understanding of how to use algorithms in mathematics and programmed Beebots to make different shapes on a piece of A3 paper.

We tried hard to use the language of directions including:

left
right
quarter turns

We started by directing Mrs Hadfield around the classroom using these directions!

It would be great if you could continue to practise left and right with your children at home.

Maybe they could direct you from the door to the sofa or something similar? For example:

forward two steps
quarter turn - left
forward three steps
sit down
