FS2: SJF Black History Fortnight

10th Oct 2021

For our SJF Black History Fortnight the children of FS2 have learned about the artist Faith Ringgold.

Faith used Tapestry in order to create quilts to tell the story of her childhood and to stand up against oppression.

In FS2 we created a paper quilt to show the things that are important to us - so watch this space to see the finished piece!

We used resources from CBeebies to learn about different black history heroes and to learn why it is so important to learn about black history as part of the curriculum. Please click here to see the resources we used. Thank you.
