BSBHW 2019: Odd Socks Day!

4th Nov 2019

Friday 8th November 2019 is Odd Socks Day here at SJF!

In other places Odd Socks Day is being celebrated on Tuesday 12th November, but we have brought it forward so that it can be part of our Be Safe - Be Happy Week 2019!

Odd Socks Day is a fun opportunity for everyone to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and all the special things that make them unique!

There is no pressure on pupils to wear anything special or on parents to go out buy new socks for their children to make them stand out. Please just use what you have at home. There is no competition nor will there be any prizes.

The wearing odd socks on Friday is a small and significant act that we can all join in with to remind ourselves and others that everyone is special and different and no one should ever be targeted and bullied because of those things that make them unique.

Odd Socks Day is also about remembering that we must always be respectful and supportive of others too, because bullying can never take root in those special places where everyone is respectful and supportive of each other.
