We have been so lucky to have our own caterpillars in FS2.
When they arrived they were tiny and we watched them eat their food and grow and grow and grow!
Next, we saw them attach themselves to the lid of their home and stay very still inside their chrysalis (cocoon).
This week the transformation was complete and we were able to carefully watch our new butterflies dry out their wings and drink the sugar water and the juice from the fruit with their long, curly tongues.
On Thursday it was time to say goodbye and let them enjoy our lovely garden.
