Y2 CSI: Crime Investigators!

29th Nov 2019

Today our classroom has been a Crime Scene!

The classroom had been disturbed and we needed to solve the case of the 'Missing pencils'!

Ms Naylor, a Forensic Manager, came in to help us solve the crime...

She showed us how to identify evidence, fingerprints, tyre tracks, footprints, DNA and then how to use it in order to make a positive match.

Then we dusted for fingerprints and found two possible suspects, Mrs Hadfield and Mrs Birch!

Next we called for Mrs Hadfield and Mrs Birch and took their fingerprints so that Ms Naylor could analyse them.

We then discovered that Mrs Birch had been the pencil thief!

Next we looked at different types of fingerprint and identified our own fingerprints.

We had such a super day! Thank you so much Ms Naylor!
