Y1 English: The Adventures of Noi!

12th Mar 2024

To engage and the children they listened to the beginning of our exciting new text, before 'boarding' an imaginary boat, in the darkness of the classroom.

They then imagined how they might feel, huddled together there, on the boat, on a fiercely stormy night, out at sea!

Commentaries and video were used to enhance the experience for the children, so they were able to relate more to how it might feel to be stuck in a storm, and even thrown overboard at the height of it - only to find themselves washed up on a strange beach.

They also speculated on the types of adventure that Noi, the main character in our story, might go on to have!
