Y1 English: Oh Naughty Bus, What Have You Done?

28th Jan 2022

Y1 CLASSROOM TRASHED!

You will not believe this! When we returned to the classroom today, after a well earned break, we were greeted by a scene of utter chaos and carnage!

Everywhere, tables were upturned, chairs knocked over, pencils scattered over the floor, books everywhere except where they should be...

We were dazed and VERY shocked by what we saw.

Why did it happen?

How did it happen?

Who was responsible?

It did not take us long to deduce that it had be the work of the dastardly Naughty Bus!

In our book, Naughty Bus causes lots of mischief in his house, and we realised that he had gone and done it in our classroom too!
For a while we had been noticing one or two odd things happening here and there in class, for example, Mrs Sambrook's pointer being hidden, numbers being moved mysteriously on our number line and the date being changed so it was wrong.

It was all very strange - and now this!

The children were desperate to let Mr Barratt know, so after first tidying up the classroom (which they did brilliantly) and talking through what happened together, the children wrote their own reports independently in which they shared their findings.
