First Day in Year 1

7th Sep 2020

WOW! We have been blown away by our amazing new class.  Everyone stood in line with their adults on the yard, then gave them a wave and off we went.  Such confident children ready for fun and learning i n Year 1.

Everyone found out where drinks, lunch boxes and coats went and enjoyed a story to settle in.  We talked about how we were feeling and had a reminder that if anyone is worried they should always 'Tell! Tell! Tell!'.

The rest of the day flew by with a welcome assembly from Mr Barrett; counting; accessing activities in the continuous provision; body name bingo; number recognition; name writing and having lots of time to chat with friends.

All of the children were AMAZING too at tidy up time! This is so helpful as it allows us to carry out enhanced cleaning at the end of the day.

We can't wait for tomorrow!  Well done Year 1 we are so very proud of your first day with us!
