Mr Johnson's Match Report

On Friday the 14th October ten of Y5 boys were given the opportunity to represent our school in a competitive football match against a team from another school.

The match between St John Fisher and Birley Spa Primary Academy took place on our school field.

An action packed afternoon ensued with both teams playing brilliantly in order score a combined total of eleven goals, with 'Team SJF' managing to score six of them to run out eventual victors!

Both teams played brilliantly. Our players SJF did amazingly, and worked hard together as a team in order to secure the victory.

We would like to thank the players, staff and parents/carers from Birley Spa Academy as well as all our parents/carers who offered the players of both teams lots of encouragement, and our players such positive support, even when the weather took a turn for the worse. It was certainly an afternoon to remember!

Finally, we thank Mr Johnson for organising the match with his counterpart at Birley Spa Academy.

Pupil Match Reports

On Friday 14th October 2022 me and nine friends were given the opportunity to play against Birley Spa Primary Academy. The game was action-packed because there were eleven goals! To my delight we scored six goals, and Birley Spa scored five, which meant we won the match! I was so excited and happy for myself and my friends after the hard work we had put in, during the match.

After school, me and my friends had an opportunity to play a football match against Birley Spa Primary School. The match was lots of fun and very competitive to play! The game was very even with both teams playing well. It almost ended in a draw, but my friend D’Mari scored an amazing to win us the game! It was great fun representing my school and an opportunity I am thankful for.
