Y1 Geography: Exploring the Features of the United Kingdom!
5th Jun 2023
Having reminded each other about human and physical features, the children worked in groups to sort various landmarks into human or physical groups. Each group of children focused on a different UK nation. They then swapped groups to check each others' findings - and share feedback. Some of the landmarks and features that were identified included the White Cliffs of Dover in Kent, a beach, 'The Giant's Causeway' in Northern Ireland, Stone Henge, the river Thames, a golf course and Mount Snowdon in Wales.
