Y1 Geography: Our Local Area Walk

Our Y1 children enjoyed time out of school today, in order to carry out fieldwork in the local area of Hackenthorpe. The children collected some data about some of the features they spotted as they walked, including:

churches
shops
green spaces
bus stops
the local Post Office
post box
phone box
schools

They will use the data collected, to help them create a linear map next week.

We would like to thank all of the parent/carer volunteers who accompanied us - enabling the trip to go ahead.
