Handa's Surprise

8th Jun 2021

Today the children started work based on the wonderful story, 'Handa's Surprise'.

They began the lesson by first helping Miss Clack find her missing fruit - which was all around the classroom!

The children found even fruit that some of them had not seen before, including a guava!

The fruit provided the children with a clue about what happens in the story so that they could make predictions based on these, the title and the blurb.

Everyone enjoyed the story and throughout the lesson the children were able to ask and answer questions in full sentences about, being careful to include to give reasons when they answered questions.

Finally everyone completed their own wonderful book reviews of the story!
