International week continued...
We are still loving all of our work learning about Australia!
Yesterday the children learned about some of Australia's most famous landmarks such as: Ayres Rock, Sydney's Opera House and harbour bridge and the Great Barrier Reef.
The children used some of the information they had discovered in order to write a postcard home - as though they were 'down-under'.
Today we have used their mathematical skills and data in order to decide on a way to find out what our favourite Australian animal is.
We created a pictogram and then used it to answer questions to show that we understood what it was showing.
We have also been listening to the didgeridoo and investigating how it is made and we have used aboriginal style art to decorate our own instruments.
Tomorrow.....baking!!!
