DINOSAUR!

9th Nov 2024

Last year, a group of five talented Film Studies students from All Saints Catholic High School won a prestigious national competition organised by ‘Into Film’.

They had been challenged to create a concept for short film that would be shown during the Into Film Festival. The students’ idea, was entitled ‘Dinosaur’ and winning the competition meant that their film would be made.

Towards the end of the last school year our friends from All Saints, generously, invited our Y6 pupils to be part of the project, which was filmed mainly in and around our site. Last Friday, this fantastic short film premiered in Sheffield and those of our former pupils who had transferred to All Saints attended a screening with the winning filmmakers.

We congratulate the young filmmakers for their success in creating this wonderful film, and we send them our prayers and best wishes for their future studies and careers. We thank our great friends from All Saints for giving our children this fantastic opportunity, and of course, we applaud all our talented former SJF pupils who were part of this exciting venture. We miss them, and are so proud of them all!

It was an absolute privilege to support this project and to work with the team at All Saints and the wonderful crew and actors.
