Life-Cycle of a Butterfly

26th Apr 2019

Today we have been looking at the life cycle of a butterfly.

The children had very good knowledge of the cycle.

We listened to a piece of music which changed during each part of the life cycle and acted out each stage.

The children thought of the best positions and actions and curled up into a ball for the egg stage.

They stretched out longer for the caterpillar stage and wriggled on the floor.

They then moved around as they hunted for food.

They laid very still for the chrysalis stage and finally fluttered around the room as butterflies!
