FS2 Mass in Class

8th Mar 2019

On Wednesday we held a pretend Mass in class.

The congregation were met at the door by two greeters and a holy water font was available for making the sign of the cross.

The children genuflected towards the altar and then took their seats.

The priest welcomed everyone to the mass.

A reading was done and the Gospel procession came down the aisle - just like it does at our school Masses.

The congregation made the triple sign of the cross on their foreheads, lips and heart before the Gospel reading.

The priest delivered the homily and spoke to the congregation, who answered his questions, later offering each other the sign of peace.

Anyone wishing to receive a blessing, made their way to the altar, with their arms crossed across their chests, where the priest made the sign of the cross on their foreheads.
