Y1: The Crimes and Misdemeanours of Naughty Bus!

27th Jan 2020

Here is a message from Mrs Sambrook:

Oh my goodness!

What a shock we had today!

As we came back to class after assembly we entered the classroom to find a terrible mess!

Bottles all over the floor, pencil pots emptied and upturned, the cloakroom was messed up with coats thrown all over the floor, there were scribbles on the whiteboard and tables and chairs were messed up!

The children were shocked initially but then very sensibly started to tidy the classroom.

Once everything was back to normal we had a good think and tried to work out what had happened and who could have caused such a mess.

Someone then noticed that 'Naughty Bus' was no longer on our 'Transport' display! He was MISSING!

No! Could it really be the fault of Naughty Bus?

Of course we needed to let Mr Barratt know what had happened so after discussing what had happened in small groups (recalling events) the children gathered their ideas and wrote excitedly and independently about what had happened, sharing their ideas and their theories.

They tried really hard to remember to include everything in their work needed to make it a great piece of writing and all persevered even when they found something tough. I was so proud of them!

Mr Barratt came to see the children later in the day and thanked them for letting him know what had happened.

I wonder what else Naughty Bus might get up to?

The video shows the shock (and excitement) of finding the terrible mess on our lovely classroom.
