BSBHW 2019: Y2 meet Nurse Denham

4th Nov 2019

To kick off our Be Safe - Be Happy Week 2019 we were visited by Nurse Denham today.

She taught us how to wash our hands well and how to prevent the spread of diseases.

We used some UV germ wash on our hands to see if we had any germs. Guess what? We discovered that lots of germs live on our hands, and especially around our nails! Urgh!

We therefore washed our hands really well and then showed Nurse Denham who told us that we were experienced hand washers!

Nurse Denham also showed us how far a sneeze can spread! It was over 3 metres! Wow!

That is why we need to make sure that we cover our mouths when we cough or sneeze.

Please look at our photos to see what we saw.
