Y1 Visit to Old Moor Wetlands
8th Jul 2024
Despite a rather rainy day, the children had a great day out at the RSPB Old Moor Wetland reserve. They braved the weather and really enjoyed being plant detectives, learning about some of the different types of flowering plants and trees s they completed various activities and challenges.
The visit enabled children to to use, apply and show off everything they had learned in their plants topic. They also enjoyed pond dipping and using a key to try to identify different minibeasts.
Everyone behaved wonderfully well and were a credit to our school.
We also thank all our fantastic parent/carer volunteers who accompanied us, and made it possible!
