Y1: Ordinal Numbers, Left and Right!

3rd Dec 2019

Last week we were learning about ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

We counted along a line and realised that person number 4 is in 4th position.

As we line up now we are starting to count the position we are in as we are stood in the line (to 10th).

Practising saying these new words (first, second, third, fourth - tenth) would be really helpful.

We have also been learning our left and right and again any practise at home will be of benefit.

Games such as 'can you stamp your left foot, wave your right hand, scratch your left ear?' etc can help and it's fun too.
