Our 'Statement to Live By'

3rd Jul 2021

Our ‘Statement to Live By’ will be “I try to accept the forgiveness of others”

Time to talk: To be forgiven is a gift. Sometimes it is a gift that is difficult to accept because we feel too ashamed about the things we have done.

It can be hard to accept the forgiveness of others. In spite of this, God asks us to accept the forgiveness of those we hurt. We are reminded that His son, Jesus, died on a cross so that we can receive the gift of forgiveness from those we hurt.

He therefore calls us to be unafraid and to show we trust in Him by accepting the forgiveness of others.

It is important to remember that forgiveness is an act of love and God is love. By accepting forgiveness we are accepting God, and we are choosing freedom…
