Our 'Statement to Live By'

8th Sep 2019

Our ‘statement to live by’ is: “I can say one good thing about myself”

Time to talk: Sometimes we find it easier to say good things about others than about ourselves.

Together think about the things that you are both good at and those qualities that make you special.

Pick your favourite. Why is it your favourite?

Share ideas about why it is important to remember the good things about ourselves rather than just dwell on any negatives. How does it make us feel when we dwell on the negatives? Why is it important to let go of these?

You can then explore why it is important to see the best in others too (rather than their faults).
