Our Latest Statement of Belief

9th Jul 2023
Our latest ‘Statement of Belief’ is I try to accept the forgiveness of others

Time to talk: To be forgiven is a gift.

Sometimes it is a gift that is difficult to accept because we feel too ashamed of the choices we have made. Though it can be hard to accept the forgiveness of others, God asks to try.

He reminds us that His only son, Jesus, died on a cross so that we can receive forgiveness from those we hurt. We are called to stop being afraid and to just trust in Him by accepting the forgiveness of others.

It is important to remember that forgiveness is an act of love and God is love. By accepting forgiveness, we are accepting God, and we are choosing freedom.

Can you think of a time when you found it hard to accept forgiveness?
