Y1: Investigating Our Senses!

20th Sep 2020

Today the children have been learning about their five senses and the parts of the body linked to each.

We watched a video, played a matching game and then went outside in order to investigate our own senses!

Whilst outside, the children discussed what they could hear, see, smell and feel.

Taste was also discussed but not actually tested this time.

Back in class the children then recorded their experiences.

Next week we will be doing further investigations as we play listening games, use 'smelly' pots, play sight games and use 'feely' boxes!

At home you can help by asking children what sense they use eyes for, nose for etc and what part of the body is used for touch, taste etc.
