Our Statement of Belief: Week 1 - Term 5

11th Apr 2024
Our next ‘Statement of Belief’ is “I know what humility means.”

Time to talk: Humility is a quality that people demonstrate when they have a modest or low sense of their own importance – not their worth. It is a quality demonstrated by the life and example of Jesus Christ, especially at Easter. It is also a trait of all the saints who came to know and love God, including our very own great patron, St John Fisher, whose life serves as a particularly great example to us all.

To show humility is not to diminish ourselves in any way, but rather to lift others up by our words and actions.

Why do you think it is important to show humility? What difference can showing humility make? What would our world be like if people showed more humility, especially those in powerful positions?
