This week the whole school community travelled to watch this year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, at the Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield. What a special day! Everyone was excited, and the show did not disappoint! It was great fun! Events like these take lots of planning and I would like to thank my colleagues for all their support and help. Our wonderful lunchtime supervisors again volunteered to give up their own time to support the children, as did a number of students who have been training with us this year.

I would also like to pay tribute to our fantastic PTFA Committee who again funded the coaches that transported us to and from the theatre. This helped us keep the cost to a minimum for parents/carers. They also provided every child with a delicious interval snack, which was very much appreciated by the children. I would like to thank them for this and for also volunteering to join staff and other volunteers to support the children.

If you can support our PTFA with ideas and offers of help, please email the committee (ptfa@st-johnfisher.org). All ideas and offers of help are appreciated.

The audience was asked to take and share photographs of the finale, so we did.
