This week the children are learning the phonic sounds 'e-e' as in Steve and 'aw' as in yawn. They love the roll and read games we play. Children take it in turns to roll a dice, spot that number and read the word. If their partner agrees it is correct they cover the word. After a few minutes we swapped over so each pair had a chance to practise each new sound with a game.
