Y1: Planting Seeds

25th Apr 2019

Today we began learning all about plants.

Every child planted different seeds to watch grow and hopefully thrive.

Some of these included: runner beans, peas, sun flowers, nasturtium flowers and cress.

The children will be looking after them and watching the stages of growth.

Some children also chose to create a collage to show the main parts of a plant.

Over the coming weeks we will be learning much more about plants including the function of each part of the plant, the name of common wild and garden plants and about different kinds of trees.
