PTFA Friday Fayre! ALL WELCOME!

2nd Jul 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to remind you that the PTFA's annual Friday Fayre takes place this Friday at St John Fisher, and you are all welcome!

START TIME

The event starts when the gates open at the end of the school day.

RELAX & SPEND

Please bring deck chairs and umbrellas - it is the end of the week, the weekend beckons and (hopefully) the sun will be shining. The fayre provides you with the perfect opportunity to relax, catch up with friends, view the stalls, buy refreshments and hopefully support our fantastic PTFA in order to raise a little money for school.

Y5 ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE

It will be a great opportunity to view and support the hard work of this year's fantastic Y5 Enterprise Groups! This is an annual competition sponsored by our PTFA to promote teamwork and enterprise. It is linked to a fantastic annual challenge run by our friends from All Saints Catholic High School for Y5 children in all its feeder schools.

NON-UNIFORM DAY

Friday is a non-uniform day as it is International Week! The children are invited to come to school on Friday wearing a colour (or colours) from the flag of the country they are learning about as part of International Week (but they can basically whatever they are comfortable wearing, please do not worry about buying and dressing them in anything special). Please ensure that they have a sun hat to wear.

SPENDING MONEY

Please send them in with a little money so that they can look around the stalls and spend money if they choose. Please ensure that their wallet/purse/plastic money bag has their name on it.

The children will have some time to look around the stalls in the afternoon before the gates are opened to families and friends.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be refreshments on sale in the Y6 classroom which will be accessible from the playground.

There will be areas for the children to play and the pedestrian gate will be supervised at all times by a member of school staff or PTFA so children will not be able to leave the grounds on their own unless it is clear that they have been given explicit permission to do so.

Please try to support the event if you can - whether you stay for minutes or hours  - the fayre is about our fantastic community coming together. Please invite family members, friends and neighbours! Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the fun!

HELP WANTED

If you can help for all or part of the evening; setting up, running stalls or clearing up, please let us know. Any offers of help would be hugely appreciated! Thank you.

REMINDER

Please do not forget to send in a £1 if you are able to so that we can buy food for the children to sample as part of International Week.

Thank you!
