Y5: Reading for Pleasure

15th Sep 2023

We will be continuing our reading journeys and so we wanted to start off the year in a fun way.

A packing case of presents was delivered to Y5! Inside was numerous brown paper packages with one sentence written on the front- How exciting!

We spent time reading each of the packages and eventually picked the one we liked the best. We then got to open them. Inside were lots of different stories- and the sentence on the outside was the first sentence of the story. We are going to read our stories and write book reviews about our opinions.

We have been set other challenges for this year. We are going to try and read our height in books over the year. We are also going to try and read new authors that we haven't read before. Hopefully we will be transported to new places, times and worlds in our Year 5 reading adventure.
