REMINDER: Moving Up Days

12th Jun 2022

A reminder that the children will have three 'moving up' days this year, to coincide with the Y6 to Y7 transition days organised by All Saints Catholic High School for Y6 children transferring there. These transition days will take place on Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th July 2022.

Y6 pupils not transferring to All Saints Catholic High School must come to school as usual and will do a range of academic and pastoral transition work that will help and support them with transitions to their new schools.

There will be a huge focus on preparing and supporting all the children and especially those who struggle most with change. As part of this the children will have a short visit to their new classes on Friday 1st July 2022.

After 'Wake Up Shake Up' on the first transition day (04-07-22), the children will be guided by staff straight to the new classrooms where they will be based. Staff will be available to help anyone requiring extra support and encouragement. Times for lunch and the end of the day will be the same as in their current classes.

As PE is an important part of our curriculum, that also supports our children’s wellbeing, lessons will go ahead as usual. To avoid confusion though, the PE days will also be the same as the children’s current classes:

·   Monday 4th July 2022

FS2 children who are moving to Y1 in September 2022

·   Tuesday 5th July 2022

Y1 and Y2 children who will be moving to Y2 and Y3 in September 2022

·   Wednesday 6th July 2022

Y3 and Y4 children who will be moving to Y4 and Y5 in September 2022
