REMINDER: Pupil Premium Grant

22nd Sep 2019

If you are (or have been) in receipt of benefits of one kind or another then your children might be entitled to a Pupil Premium Grant and free school meals. The grant is also available to children in care or those with parents serving in the UK armed forces. The grant provides school with much needed additional funds to support vulnerable children. It is therefore very important that you tell us, in confidence, if you are entitled to it.

Some eligible parents/carers of children in FS2/Y1/Y2 do not think they need to claim because their children are already receiving free school meals as part of the government infant free school meals scheme. This is wrong. It is important that these parents/carers also apply for the Pupil Premium Grant if they are entitled or we will not receive the additional funding that school could have. If you think you might be entitled please phone (01142485009) or email (enquiries@st-johnfisher.org) or speak confidentially to Mrs Ramsden or Mrs Birch in the School Office in order to find out more. Thank you.
