Safer Internet Day 2019

16th Jan 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our ongoing drive to ensure that our children are safe when they use the internet, they will have special lessons on Tuesday 5th February 2019 which will follow up the work done during 'Be Safe - Be Happy Week' back in in November as well as the work done continuously as part of our computing curriculum.

At the end of the day there will also be another opportunity for parents, carers and friends of the school to attend a special workshop which will set out the ever-evolving risks posed to children and young people when they go online - along with some simple steps that can be taken to limit exposure to risks and threats associated with use of the internet and particularly social media apps.

The workshop will again be led by Mr Broadhead and will take place in the Y6 classroom and will begin at approximately 3.30pm.

Free and supervised childcare will be provided by staff in the Y4 classroom close by.

Please come along! If you would like to attend please let us know by emailing (enquiries@st-johnfisher.org).   Thank you
