Y1: Safer Internet Day 2020

11th Feb 2020

Today we listened to a story all about how to stay safe when on the internet.

We discussed how laptops, mobile phones, computers and games consoles can all connect to the internet.

As we read the story we discussed the problems that occurred and thought about what children could do in order to stay safe.

Tell! Tell! Tell!

was the key SJF message that the children were reminded about! The children were told to tell grownups if they came across ANYTHING online that did not seem right or it made them feel scared or worried!

We also discussed that children should always make an adult knows if they are online so that they can be kept safe.

In the story the children learned a song to sing if ever they forget what to do. It mentions tablets but we again covered the need for all mobile phones, laptops etc. to also be internet ready.
