SJF School Council Update: The Swift Network

7th Mar 2024

This week, representatives for our SJF School Council were invited to join our SJF Eco Team in a meeting with The Sheffield Swift Network, in order to learn more about the plight of these magnificent birds.

In support of the SJF Eco Team, our SJF School Council is hoping to support their fundraising efforts, hopefully to leading to the fitting of 'Swift Bricks' in school at some future point.

Hugo, Chair of the SJF School Council, was present for the meeting, has already come up with some brilliant ideas and expressed his thoughts when he said, "If we can get the whole of the School Council behind us, we are looking forward to working with our Eco Team to raise the much-needed funds to help these amazing birds."

Everyone found the talk fascinating, and the children from both 'pupil voice' groups were enraptured with the presentation. Both Mr MacInness and Mrs Steenson, coordinators of the School Council and Eco Team respectively, wanted to express their sincere thanks to Sheffield Swift Network for their time, and a donation of a Swift Box, which will be fitted at school in the coming weeks.
