Y1 Science: Exploring Our Senses

22nd Sep 2024

Once our Y1 scientists recapped everything they now know about each of their senses and associated body parts they developed their understanding further by completing an interesting carousel of activities.

These included:

- a listening game testing their sense of hearing
- a memory game linked sight, requiring them to observe carefully
- tasting foods blindfolded, and identifying what they were
- identifying smells including: onion, mint, lemon, vinegar, shampoo and coffee using the sense of smell
- a feely box game requiring them to touch items in order to determine what they were

There was lots of fantastically collaborative work great vocabulary remembered and shared by the children.
