Y1 Science: Understanding the Human Body
Today the children have been learning the names of body parts that human beings have.
They drew around a child and then children added labels to demonstrate their knowledge. they then placed their labels on the outline of the body, trying to put them in the correct places.
The activity was then extended with children challenged to find different body parts e.g. hips, the skull, the forehead, ankles, the spine and wrist.
The children will be encouraged to add the names of more and more body parts, as we continue to progress through the topic.
Singing 'Heads , shoulders, knees and toes' was too easy, so the children helped to create a new version. Have a look at the video!
