SJF Chaplaincy Team Update

6th Feb 2022

Our ‘Simplicity’ Virtue

In our collective worship this week our ‘Simplicity Theme’ was to reflect on how we can trust in God as we listened to the following words of St Paul in his letter to the Philippians:

‘…and my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.’

It was a bit hard to understand what this SJF Chaplaincy Team Update: meant, so we reflected on those things that we could definitely live without and what remained very important to us. We knew that TV’s, computers and phones were nice to have but did we really need them?

We know that food and water, a home and our families are so much more important and this was what we needed. We also thought about the simple things in life and how we could trust in God more to supply what we need.

This week’s mission was to make more time for God in our lives.
