SJF School Council News

12th May 2019

The St John Fisher School Council has been very busy this week. On Wednesday we were joined at our council meeting by Mrs Berrisford who is the Area Manager of Taylor Shaw, who provide our school dinners.

The Councillors gave their opinion on what they thought was popular on the new menu and ways in which it could be improved.

On Friday we were joined by Clive Betts who is the Member of Parliament for Sheffield South East.

The councillors asked him a wide range of questions about democracy; the responsibilities of an MP and what it is like to work in the Houses of Parliament and much more.

Clive also shared his advice on what it takes to successfully represent people, something which our councillors found very interesting.
