SJF School Council Update

Here is a message from Mr MacInness 

Following our meeting with the Swift Network last week, Hugo and Jacob have since met with Mrs Steenson, SJF Eco Team Coordinator, to discuss fundraising ideas to purchase Swift Bricks for our school.

Jacob, a Y6 councillor, and co-Treasurer, is very enthusiastic about the project:

"If we want to help the swifts find homes, we need to work quickly. The swift nesting season begins in May, and they will be coming here to settle. We need to make sure they have somewhere to land and lay eggs."

The passion of both the school councillors and the Eco Team means this project will be a focus that gathers pace in the coming weeks. Our SJF School Council as a whole is also working on their own project surrounding road safety - a meeting is planned for next week where the team will bring their ideas forward in planning our next steps.
