SJF Virtual Sports Day 2020

29th Jun 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the current pandemic, many school competitions, events and sports days around the country have been cancelled or postponed. At St John Fisher however, we want to create a virtual sports day, which allows pupils to compete and to promote healthy lifestyles and well-being.

The competition consists of 14 simple generic sports skills, timed at 1 minute each. All activities can be completed at home using basic sports equipment.

Staff from SJF have created instruction videos for each of the activities to go alongside the activity cards. These can be accessed on the school website (https://www.st-johnfisher.org/) or on Microsoft TEAMS.

Once you have completed all or some of the challenges, please follow the link in order to submit your results using the online form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAAlQiD1L0QdqJv6O_IDhIWV-2pe0dlWu1uTBfscTOGt2mWA/viewform

Our Virtual Sports Day is scheduled to take place on Friday 3rd July 2020, however, you can start the activities from today if this is easier and scores can be submitted from 9.00am on Monday 29th June until 5.00pm Monday 6th July 2020.

We would love it if ALL children and parents/carers could get involved and we are already excited to see everyone taking part. Let’s have some fun! You can also send photographs to Year2@st-johnfisher.org

Thank you,

Mrs Broadhead - PE Lead
