Teddy Bears

13th Oct 2019

Today the children have been looking at various teddy bears.

They discussed if they thought they were old or new and most importantly how they came to their decisions.

Afterwards we looked at the history of teddy bears and considered how bears have changed over more than 100 years.

We placed pictures on a time line to show chronology and changes.

Later in the week the children will look at an old bear and a new one and discuss similarities and differences, for example, they may both have a nose but the old toy is brown and worn and the new one is colourful and fluffy.

All of our work on toys will be consolidated with our trip to Weston Park Museum on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.

If you haven't already done so please see Parent Pay to giver permission, pay and to confirm lunch choices. Thank you.
