Teddy bears

20th Nov 2017

Today we completed our work on old toys and in particular teddy bears.  We learn that the first 'teddy' bear was made in 1902 and that they used to look just like real bears; with a long snout, long arms and a hump in their back.  We discussed how teddy bears were similar to ours today and how they were different.  We also ordered pictures of teddies on a timeline, thinking about which was the oldest and how we could tell.
