The Y6 Joy of Movement Project: A Balanced Diet!

15th Mar 2024

The children of Y6 have been busy learning valuable healthy life skills with Mr Wilson from the Sheffield United Community Foundation, who is with us this term to deliver a series of lessons as part of the 'Joy of Moving Project'.

This week, the children enjoyed some great team sports games, focusing on throwing, catching and balance. They worked great in their teams, showing support and encouragement befitting of our school Teamwork value.

The children also worked on life skills in class, with a brilliant session covering healthy eating and diet. Not only did they cover what we should eat, but also how it should be prepared, with some important ideas shared around a balanced and varied meal.

Mr Wilson has challenged the children this week to help their adults in the kitchen, to put their new skills to use.
