Y1: Our Town or Countryside Debate!

9th Dec 2019

We worked in talking partners to decide on the good and bad points of both towns and the countryside.

We shared our ideas and Mrs Sambrook wrote them down for us to see.

We then explored with our partner the arguments for living in a town or the countryside before voting (by standing on the side of the classroom that either represented the town or countryside).

We then had a debate in which we shared our views to encourage others to reconsider their choices.

Following the debate some children opted to change sides whilst others decided to stick with their original choices.
